What will my bathroom renovation cost?
Whilst we're not the builder, we have seen a fair amount of quotes for our Designs.
So we will do our best to give you an indicative guide to the cost of your new Bathroom.
Under $15k - You won't be doing a full renovation at this budget, but you will be able to update most if not all your tapware, vanity, potentially new shower screen. New tiling is unlikely due to demolition of existing which will likely compromise the waterproofing. Most of our builders will go back to the framing and start new.
You could look at resurfacing the existing tiles for a new look and colour if they are in good condition
$20-$30k - At this range, you may likely get a small renovation done to a small ensuite or bathroom. It will depend what you want to achieve and being selective on the fixtures. But it is possible.
$30 - $40k - This is where most of our bathrooms fall in the price range (average $33k) You'll get a completely new space at this price point.
$40k and above - We are moving into luxury territory now, think steam rooms, amazing free standing baths, open plan, best of the best.
With most housing now in excess of $1 mil, it's a small price to pay for a beautiful space.
Sure, Bathroom's are the smallest room to renovate, but they are also the most labour intensive with multiple trades required for just one bathroom.
Why do we need a design, won't the Builder do it?
Starting with a complete design and plans puts you in control. It allows you to approach multiple builders with the same brief, making it easier to compare quotes accurately. If you go straight to a builder without a design, you'll likely spend significant time just communicating your vision, only to receive a quote that may not align with your budget.
Or worse, get hit with multiple variations along the way.
Your design is the most important element of the project, get this right, you'll have any amazing bathroom!
Get this wrong, you'll have regret and most likely a $30k bill to deal with and a bathroom you're still not happy with.
Will it cost more to have my bathroom designed by Atorii instead of letting my builder do it?
No, not at all. If you go direct to a builder they will likely charge you more for this service. And if they don't provide any floor plans, designs, 3D views and selections for your new bathroom, then why are you paying them so much. Your bathroom design is the most important element of the whole project. Don't skip this step!

Can I change my bathroom layout?
Absolutely, in most cases.
But it increases cost. Designers help decide if the new layout is worth the spend.
We can still do amazing things keeping the same layout.
Do you need to come inspect my bathroom?
Ideally, yes. This allows us to measure all the dimensions of your existing bathroom, note window and door locations, and discuss any potential layout changes or features you might like to include.
Alternatively, if you're handy with a tape measure, you're welcome to do a DIY measure-up. We can guide you through the process and make sure you capture everything we need. Be sure to take plenty of photos as well, these are really helpful for understanding your existing bathroom layout.
Can you supply the fixtures and fittings you've specified?
Yes, we absolutely can.
We offer pricing and supply for all the fixtures and fittings we've specified in your design. You're welcome to purchase them elsewhere if preferred, but we've sourced and tested products we trust, have used before, and are confident in.
They're high quality and competitively priced. Saving you time and uncertainty during the selection and ordering process. Plus you don't have to spend countless weekends going from showroom to showroom piecing together your own bathroom design, that's what we do for you!
What's the difference between a Designer and a Builder?
Designer = plans, selections, 3D visuals, sourcing
Builder = construction, labour, installation
Together they deliver a complete bathroom.
